More about Kalkan

Kalkan is a delightful harbour town. It is beginning to "grow", but most of the new development tends to be in the new town which can be 15 minutes plus walk away (uphill ! ).

Although our apartment is very central, please note that Kalkan is not an ideal location for people with any infirmity as it consists of cobbled streets on a steep slope.

Families with very young children and pushchairs should also be aware of this.

Our family went to Kalkan for the first time in 2005. We instantly fell in love with the town and bought this apartment within 5 days of landing there. The view from the top balcony shown here sold it to us alone.

We have met many people who have done the same and are now regular visitors to this lovely town.
